Junior Copywriter

 

In this Independent Contractor role, you are responsible for performing the agreed upon scopes of work as directed in writing by Jansen Communications (JC).

 

You will write and edit blog posts and copy for email marketing, marketing brochures, and/or direct mail based on knowledge of best practices and past experience. You will integrate elements of the JC client’s industry and preferred tone of voice as defined by scopes of work. You will communicate directly with the client to gather specific information or confirm a preferred approach for the project; all strategy will be handled by the JC Principle or Project Coordinator.

 

To be successful in the Junior Copywriter role, you must be comfortable working independently, implementing projects, meeting deadlines within editorial calendars, and communicating directly with the client.

 

Role and Responsibilities as JC firm representative:

 

  • Coordinate and fulfill specific client projects
  • Write and edit content that may include but is not limited to:
    • Blog posts, including formatting and publishing
    • Email marketing campaigns
    • Newsletters (digital)
    • Brochures
    • Direct mail
  • Format and schedule blog posts in a CMS, like WordPress
  • Work directly with prospects/ clients to ensure client satisfaction and timely delivery of all projects
  • Participate in weekly meetings with JC Principal re: project updates
  • Carefully proofread original work before submitting to client

 

Requirements:

 

  • A minimum of 2 years copywriting experience across a minimum of 2 marketing channels
  • Experienced at creating original work and conducting research to support project requirements
  • Strong communication skills that facilitate working seamlessly and successfully with project coordinators, JC Principal, and clients
  • Experienced at prioritizing projects and deadlines
  • Extensive experience with proofreading and editing
  • MUST be well versed in SEO best practices for blogging
  • Basic graphic design skills; must be able to pick out appropriate stock photos and crop/format them according to the client’s web specs
  • Experienced working with WordPress, Mailchimp, and in Google Drive
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and responsive
  • Sense of humor and positive outlook

Social Media Marketing Specialist

 

In this Independent Contractor role, you are responsible for performing the agreed upon scopes of work as directed in writing by Jansen Communications (JC).

 

You will develop and manage social media marketing campaigns based on experience and knowledge of lead generation, engagement, customer service goals and reputation management. You’ll use professional best practices to integrate the JC client’s industry and tone of voice elements into all post copy, develop and curate images and videos, and manage the client presence on social media channels as defined by scopes of work. This can include strategizing with the client on new projects or improving existing approaches.

 

To be successful in this role, you must be comfortable managing your own projects, creating and managing editorial calendars, and working directly with the client. You pride yourself on staying up-to-date with all social media marketing trends and quickly adopting emerging social media and community building platforms.

 

Role and Responsibilities as JC firm representative:

 

  • Manage multiple client projects from start to finish, including developing strategy and timeline, creating and updating editorial calendar, managing campaigns, engaging with community, and communicating monthly results with client
  • Effectively use social media outlets, including, but not limited to :
    • Facebook
    • Instagram
    • LinkedIn
    • Pinterest
    • Twitter
    • Google Plus
    • All emerging channels
  • Work within a social media management platform like Hootsuite
  • Work directly with JC prospects/ clients to ensure clarity of project scope and goals
  • Brainstorm and propose social media campaign strategies
  • Craft original, engaging, and personable copy for all social media platforms
  • Participate in weekly meetings with JC Principal re: project updates
  • Carefully proofread original work before submitting to client or posting online
  • Consistently fulfill projects as defined by specific client goals through posting, scheduling and monitoring.

 

Requirements:

 

  • A minimum of five years advancing social media experience across a minimum of four platforms channels as well as professional experience working in closed communities (such as Facebook Groups)
  • Experienced at creating and implementing social media marketing strategy
  • Experienced at posting, scheduling and monitoring social media communications
  • Strong communication skills that facilitate working seamlessly and successfully with JC Principal and clients
  • Experienced at prioritizing details and deadlines
  • Extensive experience with lead generation marketing
  • Must be up-to-date on pop-culture, the latest trends, and trending topics
  • Basic graphic design skills; must be able to pick out appropriate stock photos and crop/format them according to social media platform specs
  • MUST be well versed in social media and community best practices
  • Experienced and knowledgeable of social media platform restrictions
  • Comfortable working within Hootsuite
  • Ridiculously organized and responsive

Project Coordinator

 

This part-time role is responsible for performing the agreed upon scopes of work as directed in writing by Jansen Communications (JC).

 

As project coordinator, you bring experience in sales, marketing, customer service, and project coordination to JC. You ensure projects meet client goals and stay on track, conduct client outreach, follow up with leads and prospects, strategize with prospects on JC products and services, and manage client-related documents. You rely on professional best practices and JC guidelines for all interactions with Independent Contractors and clients and when representing any and all of JC’s interests.

 

You are comfortable managing personalities, following editorial calendar deadlines, and working directly with the client to set clear and specific expectations. You are also tech savvy, a quick learner, and have a reputation for delivering a high level of customer satisfaction.

 

Role and Responsibilities as JC firm representative:

 

  • Lead all client onboarding
  • Coordinate, collaborate and facilitate Independent Contractors on project timelines and deadlines
  • Coordinate and handle lead and prospect follow up, working with JC Principal to close on projects and facilitate new client documentation
  • Manage client- and Independent Contractor-related documentation, such as statements of work
  • Provide customer service support for Independent Contractor lead
  • Act as first line of resolution for client / contractor conflicts
  • Develop, update and communicate agenda for weekly meetings
  • Conduct individual check-ins on project status with Independent Contractors as needed
  • Set up and use project management software and develop processes in coordination with JC Principal
  • Consistently and proactively communicate with JC Principal

 

Requirements:

 

  • A minimum of 3 years project coordination experience while working with teams of 3 or more professionals in marketing, customer service or sales
  • MUST be well versed in project management best practices
  • Experienced using project management software, social media platforms, and online collaboration tools like Google Drive and Dropbox
  • Strong communication skills that facilitate working seamlessly and successfully with Independent Contractors, JC Principal, and clients
  • Experienced at prioritizing details and deadlines
  • Ridiculously organized and responsive
  • Extensive experience leading prospect and sales conversations
  • Experienced supervising personnel or teams
  • Sense of humor and positive outlook
