Now, there are tons of content marketing stats online. Some are interesting and some are useless. I waded through articles, blog posts and reports and pulled the ones that show how effective it is (at generating leads and sales). Let’s take a look:

(Interestingly, I found zero statistics for content marketing-focused white papers or ebooks but a general consensus that they are effective.)

For every $1 spent, email gives back a whopping $38 in ROI.
86% of consumers would like to receive promotional emails from companies they do business with at least monthly.
Social media is marketing on steroids
LinkedIn is 277% more effective for lead generation than Facebook or Twitter.

Video is your best friend
Social video generates 1200% more shares than text and images combined.
Video drives a 157% increase in organic traffic from SERPs.
Video on a landing page can increase conversions by 80% or more.
